Get to Know Me

Licensed Therapist and Registered Nurse

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a Registered Nurse (RN) at Affinity Counseling Services, I am dedicated to delivering comprehensive care tailored to the individual needs of adults seeking therapy services.

Personal Interests

In my free time, I enjoy embarking on adventures with my husband and four children. A fun fact about me is that I co-created the “Gottman Couples Retreat Boardgame”. My philosophy revolves around cultivating adventure and wellness while nurturing relationships. I also enjoy hiking, mountaineering, running, and downhill skiing. Spending time in the outdoors.

Professional Development

Witnessing the resilience of patients amidst suffering inspired me to explore holistic approaches to care. Which led to me becoming a Gottman “Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work” Educator and a Gottman “Bringing Baby Home” educator. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations across various age groups, often during moments of crisis. My ultimate goal is to facilitate the process of self-discovery, empowering individuals and couples to become their best selves.

Educational Background

I earned my Master of Social Work at the University of Washington, with a concentration in mental health. My healthcare journey began in the Pacific Northwest, where I spent time climbing mountains and working as an emergency medical technician. Later, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northwest University and gained invaluable experience in the cardiology unit at Virginia Mason, as well as the oncology and intensive care units (ICU) at UW Medical Center. I am also a Board Certified Registered Nurse Health Coach.
